Jamia Riyadhul Jannah is the vision of Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy. He is the founder and the Chairman of Jamia Riyadhul Jannah and Canadian Society of Peace and Relief. Imam Soharwardy is the founder of Islamic Supreme Council of Canada, Canadian Council of Mosques & Islamic Centres and Muslims Against Terrorism. Defending Islam and Muslims is Imam Soharwardy’ s passion, he is always in the frontline whenever anyone attacks Islam and the Muslim community in Canada.

Imam Soharwardy received his Islamic education from Darul Uloom Soharwardia, Karachi, Pakistan where his father and Murshad Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Riazuddin Soharwardy (Rahmatullah Alaih) supervised his Islamic education. He has the Ijazah in Soharwardy, Qadri and Chishty Sufi orders from his Murshad (spiritual guide), Allama Syed Muhammad Riazuddin Soharwardy, Qadri, Chishty (May Allah’s blessings be upon him). He is the Khalifah of his Murshad. His students and Murideen (disciples) have spread out all over the world.

Imam Soharwardy is a strong advocate of Islamic Tasawuf(Sufism) and believes that the world will be a better place for everyone if we follow what the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has said, You will not have faith unless you like for others what you like for yourself. He believes that spiritual weakness in human causes all kinds of problems.
